Reproduction Test in Water Fleas (Daphnia magna)
The health of freshwater ecosystems is of great importance for the preservation of biodiversity. The “Reproduction Test in Water Fleas (OECD 211)” is applied to measure the reproductive abilities of water fleas, which are commonly found in aquatic environments, against chemical substances.
This test is intended to evaluate the reproductive abilities of various chemicals and environmental pollutants on water fleas. During the test, the egg production of water fleas and the survival rates of young individuals are monitored to determine the toxicity levels of the chemicals. In this process, it is determined how long and to what extent the tested substances affect the reproductive abilities of water fleas.
As SİA Analysis Laboratories, we perform the Water Flea Reproduction Test with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) accreditation. In this way, we provide scientific and reliable data to protect the health of aquatic ecosystems and determine and control the effects of environmental pollutants.
As SİA Analysis Laboratories, we are here for environmentally friendly solutions.
